I am a watercolour artist based in Sunderland, UK.

I have loved drawing since childhood, but life took me in other directions until retirement gave me the time to pick up brushes and pencils again. With no formal training, I am largely self-taught and still very much at the beginning of this journey.
My work focuses on landscapes that hold personal meaning for me, alongside studies of buildings and trees that catch my eye. I am particularly fascinated by the challenge of capturing light—how it falls, shifts, and transforms a scene.

Recently I joined Sunderland Art Group, which has been a welcoming and inspiring step into sharing my work with others.
I draw inspiration from contemporary artists such as Thomas Schaller and Richard Claremont, whose mastery of light and atmosphere continues to guide and motivate me.

Through painting, I find I am seeing the world around me in a new light and look forward to exploring it one brushstroke at a time.
