Watercolour & Fineliner
Peter Brewis

One of a series of 5 watercolour paintings of buildings local to the EDAN Gallery in Seaham.
Built in 1901 Jobling House is an Edwardian property typical of public buildings of the time featuring red brick paired with stone. The property is located in Vane Terrace, a key street in Seaham’s 19th/early 20th century development tied to the coal industry, harbour and planned town growth under the Londonderry family.
The property is currently home to East Durham Community Initiatives Ltd. A charity supporting local projects in the Seaham area.
