Sculpture, Glass, Photography, Mixed Media,

The differing landscapes within the North East of England gives me wide variety of environments to draw inspiration from. I have a particular interest in local industrial heritage and history.

I use drawing and photography as a visual reminder of environments and memories. From these observations my work has moved into abstraction: my emotional response to the detail, form, colour, repetition of line, and texture. I enjoy using a variety of materials and processes particularly with steel, glass, and wood.

Being a member of EDAN has given me a supportive community, with opportunity to develop my practice particularly with the subject specific projects over periods of months which culminate as group exhibitions around the theme.
