Dawdon Colliery Tower

Jean Spence
Dawdon Colliery Tower
A limited edition lino print of the colliery where my father worked from April 1939 until his death 1980 after a heart attack at work. The colliery was in production between 1907 and 1990.
The pit shaft was sunk at Noses Point which is now part of the designated nature reserve owned by the National Trust and the gateway to the magnesian limestone cliffs and meadows that are designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
