Seeded Rope

Kelp is being researched and grown seeded onto ropes as part of the Stronger Shores project offshore from Seaham. It is intended that kelp could be a sustainable natural solution to coastal erosion in this area by slowing the force of waves toward shore. This piece was inspired by the the seeded ropes being used, and the kelp drying hung on the gallery wall.
