5 over ripe pears lying on a wall at Blackwell
5 over ripe pears lying on a wall at Blackwell
Pen and graphite
Danny Gilchrist
On a visit to Blackwell near Windermere in 2024 I came across these pears lying on a wall in full sunshine.
Although each pear was rotten the colours were as vivid as I have depicted in the drawing.
Originally exhibited at 1719 in Sunderland as part of a project to produce a drawing a day (366 drawings in total for 2024) they became part of a private art collection when the project and exhibition ended.
On loan from a private collection.
