This is a two-piece hand pressed, lino print.
The main lino plate has been used to create a range of prints at various stages of cutting but each print is unique and different in colour. This is the only print featuring the moon.
In creating this composition I was considering the way in which the light from the moon amongst trees creates distortions in our vision and fantastical images. Here the trees take on human form and appear to be involved in a dance that is linked directly to the moon. Underlying this idea is the dynamism of ways of seeing, and the interconnectedness of all things, humans, trees, and planetary systems.
