Magnesium Limestone Meanderings 1

I love the subject of this exhibition. It is so ‘close to home’. Our wonderful coastline with its diverse flora and fauna is, due to the magnesium limestone, unique, it exists nowhere else in the world. It should not have been difficult to produce art work with such an inspiring subject.
But I have struggled. I decided to work with gelli printing, which is one of the easier art forms in the basic stage, but no matter how I tried, it did not want to play! Artists have these struggles sometimes and, when it happens, you just have to keep on going.
