Scroll

The original meaning of scroll - a medium for reading and writing - has been completely superceded by contemporary 'scrolling'. . The objects used to make this scroll are all in a process of decay: print media, a leather book spine, paper salvaged from packaging, wood and metal collected from Seaham's Blast Beach. The words and poem refer to that beach which contains the detritus of a previous age, and the nostalgia provoked by direct encounters with the processes of decay. .
