Digital Image of 3D model. Making a model in 3 dimensions is an essential element of my art practice. After creating plein air drawings of Magnesian limestone, I made a 3 D model in card. I photographed and drew from the photograph using whatever media helped to develop my design and to gain a thorough understanding of the form. Throughout the project I have been drawn to how the Magnesian Limestone changes throughout the day. Forms, shapes, marks, tints, tones and shades are dramatically revealed when the Mag Lime is watched for any length of time. Drawn from a 3 d model of Magnesian Lime.
