Limestone Summer

The flora of the magnesian limestone is abundant and unique. I discovered and was thrilled by the wild flowers growing above the Blast Beach as a child and did my best to name as many as I could. Even today, sixty years later, though I know many of them, there are some that elude me. I wanted this piece to communicate my feelings about the Blast cliff tops in summer, rather than attempt to offer a realistic depiction of any given plants.
