Thetis

This is my hand embroidered interpretation of the sea goddess Thetis emerging from a forest of kelp. In Greek mythology, Thetis is best known as the mother of Achilles who she tries to protect during the Trojan war. As a protective sea goddess it seemed appropriate to reference her in this project about the protective qualities of Kelp.
