Heart of Renewal

This piece brings together two expressions of care and renewal. The painted cover depicts a calm shoreline, where grasses stand against sea and sky—an image of resilience shaped by time and natural recovery. Within, the folded pages form a heart, transforming a once-discarded book into a symbol of value restored. Together, they speak of healing: of landscapes once altered by coal, and of materials given new purpose through reuse. The work invites reflection on how we move forward—with intention, with respect, and with compassion. In Beyond Coal, it suggests that change begins not only in the land, but in the choices we make.
