Los Alisios 1

Capturing the light and wind on the Canarian island of Fuertaventura has always been a challenge to me. The trade winds, Los Alisios are constant and of varying strengths. The more energetic Calima wind brings a rise in temperature and sand from the Sahara.
In May 2025 the trade winds were particularly strong with the light and beach changing constantly.
These images were taken on an east coast beach over 2 hours. None of the images have been digitally manipulated.
