Little did I know when I clicked the shutter that this scene would quickly become a historical document. Since Seaham Harbour's North Dock became a trendy marina with new gates, the water stays in the dock at all times. Local fisherman can no longer dig for bait on the dock bottom. I don't know who the bait digger is but I believe the guy on the quayside in the background is Gordon Dodds, once owner of the Julie Ann.
