Underwater Gold

This painting was taken from a photograph I had of my daughter diving with her friend on holiday. I always loved the colour of her red hair against the blues of the sea water. I wanted to explore this as a painting project for myself so decided to add it to the kelp theme as it seemed appropriate. The kelp was created using metallic gold leaf. I chose this to demonstrate how precious the kelp is to our world.
