Solstice Curve

Solstice Curve
Derek Newton Lynch
The sculpture, entitled "Solstice Curve," is an elegant and dynamic piece of earthenware. Its form suggests a crescent moon or a graceful, sweeping horn. The surface is meticulously finished, first with an airbrushed gradient that transitions from a dark, rich bronze at the base to a lustrous, golden hue at the tip. This colour shift gives the sculpture a sense of movement and light. A final lacquered coat provides a smooth, glossy sheen, enhancing the curves and reflecting light.
