Receiving

The research for the Kelp exhibition involved a great deal of close looking. This was aided by macro-photography which revealed features of the kelp not readily apparent to the casual observer. My macro-images provided the material for developing a series of watercolours based on the range of patterns, colours and textures apparent in the kelp. This one is of a simple curved edge on which the light had highlighted beautiful greens and yellows.
