Jug

Historically, the symbol of the jug is positive and life-affirming; a vessel for sharing water, milk, oil, wine, necessities of life. Generosity towards humanity and the conviviality of God/gods are often represented by a jug. However, we have polluted life's necessities and forgotten our gods. . The assemblage is ambiguous. Its components, thrown back by the sea which they degrade, have been decayed by their time in seawater. The red interior suggests both love and danger Hand stitched reassembling represents an effort to make amends.
