Satin Skin

Satin Skin features the profile of a woman, hand embroidered within a blue painted circle on patterned satin fabric. The satin’s pattern has been picked out and stitched using metallic threads. Partly merging the portrait with the background, a further piece of decorative lace has been appliquéd to the woman’s hair. Embroidery stitches form a frame around the circumference of the blue circle.
