Model for Ghost Nest

In 2023 I was given a commission to create Ghost Nest Durham for the biggest light festival in the UK, Lumiere Durham. I used discarded fishing and plastic objects I had collected from the beaches in East Durham. Ghost Nest gives a message bout the effects of Ghost fishing and the pollution of rivers, seas and coastlines; this is having a detrimental and overwhelming effect on the environment.Ghost fishing is a term that describes what happens when derelict fishing gear continues to catch, it is a global problem. Modelling techniques are important to the development of my ideas.
