Blue Wood

This photograph is of a log on the Blast Beach near Seaham. The log has been tossed around and eroded by the sea before being deposited above the tide line where it has been further weathered and bleached by constant exposure to the elements. This has resulted in a pleasing blue colour cast which, with the variations in texture in the wood, creates a unique, interesting and attractive abstract pattern.
