A Tribute to the MIners

A Tribute to the MIners
watercolour
Carol White
The view across the Durham coast from the Easington Colliery Pit site. All that remains is the old lift shaft standing like a monument. The wildflowers here on the Magnesian Limestone Coast are abundant and some are rare, they attract bees, birds and wildlife too. Nature has restored the countryside. Such a contrast to the dirty landscape it used to be.
