Steetley Pier

Local to me is Crimdon, where I often like to walk, looking for driftwood and other interesting items that have washed up with the tide. As you walk from Crimdon towards Hartlepool Headland, you pass the site of the old water filtration works of Steetley and the Pier that reaches out to sea. Once a functional structure, it has now become a landmark to those that live locally and is visited daily by dog walkers, beach-combers and families enjoying the coast.
