The 1971 film ‘Get Carter’ was filmed in the North East, with the cold blooded final killing filmed on Blackhall beach and the Blast beach, Seaham. This work is based on the final killing on a blackened coal beach. The Blast also was used in the filming of Alien and The Vikings
