Souter Kelp

Souter Kelp
Photograph
Angela Sandwith
Visiting the beach at Souter on a bitterly cold but sunny day provided ideal conditions for taking photographs. The sea had just washed over kelp lying on the shoreline. I was shocked at how bright and textured it was, light and moisture causing it to shine. I tried to quickly capture this in drawing but found the only way to truly capture the moment was with a digital camera.
