Close To The Edge

A photograph of a boulder on Seaham’s Blast Beach. I love the variations in colours and texture of the rock but the cracking suggests an underlying fragility as if it could collapse at any moment (this is the nature of weathering and erosion). Abstract photography relies heavily on the subject having interesting shapes, textures, patterns and colours.
