The Fire Down Below

The Fire Down Below
Photography
Tony Frisby
This photograph is of a section of a rusted metal panel on Seaham’s Blast Beach that has clearly been exposed to the elements for some time. It’s always interesting to think about where these things come from and what they were originally used for when you come across them on the foreshore. The photograph looks as if it could be of a volcanic eruption or a solar sunburst – remarkable when it is a much more ordinary and closer-to-home reality.
