Rob Winter is an artist and art and design educator with more than 25 years’ experience in creative industries, specialising in ceramics, glass, fine art and design. He is dedicated to student-centred learning, creative practice, and community engagement. His work has included establishing partnerships between the University of Sunderland and global Fair-Trade and industrial organisations, delivering ceramic design and production development workshops in India, Peru, China and Vietnam.

Winter is an experienced ceramic artist whose personal practice explores the relationship between form, material, and process. Specialising in wheel-thrown vessels, his practice celebrates precision and craftsmanship, with a strong commitment to the integrity of ceramic traditions. Each piece reflects a deep engagement with the material qualities of clay and the transformative nature of firing.
