My background in design really colours everything I create, from a fascination with how things are arranged to playing with space, and the vibrant energy that comes from experimenting with colours and abstract ideas.

What sparks my creativity? It’s all around me – stunning natural scenery, the gorgeous coastline I’m lucky enough to call my neighbour, and the vibrant shapes and hues that nature throws our way. The area around my studio in the North East of England, with the North Sea and the lush countryside, never fails to inspire me. From the ever-changing patterns and textures to the seasonal colors, there’s always something new that catches my eye and finds its way into my artwork.

It’s all about transforming these inspirations into layers of texture in my work, each piece a little story of the world as I see it.
