This piece played an integral role in my experimentations with mixed media, ultimately forging me into the artist I am today. Created in 2005, this triptych illustrates my journey through my BA arts degree, flourishing as I did at the end with inspiration from Georgia O'Keefe and Frank Auerbach. Three depictions of chrysanthemums in bloom (taken from studies done at the botanical gardens in Belfast), my background in floristry only enriched my understanding of a flowers form, and more importantly, its purpose.
