Born in the 60’s on the North East Coast, I left my full-time career at the end of 2016, giving me the freedom to return to painting more regularly.

Having always lived by the coast, I am naturally drawn to beaches, shorelines, the sea and rocky cliffs and take many photos on my walks.

My initial creations were representational paintings of these subjects in watercolour and acrylic but I am now experimenting with a wider range of mediums including textiles to create more abstract pieces with the emphasis on colour and light.
