Alison completed her MA in Glass and Ceramics at the University of Sunderland in 2010 . She specialises in fused glass and lamp work, designing and making glass vessels, jewellery and beads. Her passion is exploring the environment, culture and heritage of the North East. Raised in Durham city she is conscious of her family roots in the collieries and how different her life opportunities were to the generations before.She attended Leeds University Medical School and worked in Psychiatry before becoming an artist, and community teacher.
