I have no art qualifications and actually failed 'o' level art at school. I dabbled with oil portraits many years ago, but since retraining as a primary school teacher in my fifties I have discovered a new passion for art which I enjoy sharing with the children I teach. Having encouraged them to enter a competition drawing birds, I began drawing and painting birds using watercolour (a new experience for me) to show the children and I have developed a love for this. I have turned some of my paintings into greetings cards. I have just finished teaching a weaving unit and this is now my new obsession. I love discovering new artists and sharing my joy in school.
