In Recovery: after Dawdon Pit

At Noses Point, the remains of coal mining waste from Dawdon pit, that was tipped over the cliff are still evident on the cliff edge. The slag encourages a particular range of vegetation. Crows gather there. Despite almost total obliteration of flora and fauna during the coal mining period, there is a natural regeneration that is happening simply by leaving things alone. Natural energy reclaims the earth. This is a memory-based image rather than a realistic depiction.
