I don’t know who I am as an artist yet. This question has plagued me for years, all through my fine art degree and my teaching journey. It is one I’m ready to explore and tackle coming into the new year, having made changes to my career (and life) in order to live authentically as myself.

I am interested in Art Therapy and intend to pursue a masters course at some point in the future, but not before I explore my own inner world through my art work first. I’ve always strived to build skills in my previous work, seeking approval from others in order to validate my practice, but this is something I want to firmly do away with, and create work that is expressive and explorative. I’m keen to be part of local art networks to socialise, but also to be part of/set up some workshops or clubs to involve the local community.
